Garden...week 2
garden...1st day
We finally got our garden done in the backyard. Since the soil here is terrible we made a raised bed garden. We planted 4 tomato plants (grape, yellow grape, roma, celebrity (big)), 2 basil, yellow squash, zucchini squash, oregano, tarragon, flat leaf parsley, and cucumber. We are on our 2nd cucumber plant though....Patrick's dog, Obie, decided he didn't like it so he stepped on it and it never recovered :(
The same weekend we got blue crabs and steamed them up Maryland-style! (Thanks for the recipe Uncle Ant!) They were awesome and at $60 a bushel I think we will be having them a lot this summer.
