Sakura
at the park....all the white you see on the ground is fallen sakura petals. looks like snow....only warmer ;)
After the sakura bloomed my friends and I went for a walk outside the bases West gate to enjoy the view! There are a lot of sakura trees plus a kids park and koi pond.Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival
eating some yakitori (chix on a stick) and yakisoba (japanese-style fried noodles w/meat and veggies....similar to lo-mein?)
walking to the flightline to see the helicopters/airplanes.
SAKURA!!!!Last weekend the base hosted their annual Cherry Blossom Festival. It's a great open-base event with food, games, music, and helicopter/airplane displays. This year the weather was a beautiful 70 degrees and sunny. In years past it was cold and windy! The sakura had bloomed earlier in the week so the timing was perfect too.

Eleni Maria!
This what my bed looks like EVERY morning! Eleni ends up in it around 4 or 5 and as soon as Despina wakes up she wants to go talk to her.
