Well....I can't believe I'm saying this.....Despina turned 3 yrs old on Monday! Since Tim had a night flight we had a little celebration for lunch. We are going to have all the family over(thats in the area) on Saturday to have a bigger celebration. She loved her cake...what kid wouldn't?
Watching her open her gifts reinforced to me that its the little things in life that mean the most....a small gesture can go along way....and that large amounts of money don't need to be spent in order to make her feel extra special on her birthday. She didn't need some big expensive gift to make her face light up. She was more than delighted with the happy birthday balloon, new panties, ABC/123 dry-erase board, and chutes and ladders game(....which combined cost me no more than $25...)
