March 3rd is Hina Matsuri or Girls Day in Japan. Families set up displays of Hina dolls to give thanks for their daughters' good health. This display is at my students' house (I teach English for two families) and their mom took this picture for us. During the months of January and February these dolls are for sale at most stores and can be quite expensive but they are beautiful! Friday, February 24, 2006
